Evie Networks has announced a set of price rises applying to its public EV chargers from January 18.
New prices include Evie 22kW (AC, three phase) 50 cents per kWh (from 35c/kWh – up 43%, Evie 50kW DC fast charger 58c/kWh from 50 – 16% increase, Evie 150kW DC super-fast chargers 68c/kWh from 60 – 13.3% rise, Evie 350kW DC ultra-fast chargers 73c/kWh from 65 – up 12.3%, The Driven reports.
It lists the average price rise at 21.2%.
The Driven says the new rates still heavily favour battery electric vehicles (BEVs) when electric and petrol refuelling are considered.
“It could also be argued that Evie’s prices were a bit low – especially as their AC price was below what some people pay at home for a peak kWh rate, so a correction was in order,” The Driven explains.
Meanwhile, Evie Networks had Australian tennis legend Pat Rafter (pictured) at its Brisbane International Tennis display (it’s a sponsor).
Opened in 2008, the Pat Rafter Arena is the main covered court with 5500 capacity at the Queensland Tennis Centre where the Brisbane International was held on December 31 to January 7.
