Foton Australia launches genuine Tunland accessories range with local partners

Autotalk · 0 comments

FOTON Australia has launched a genuine accessories range for the Tunland ute, developed in collaboration with Australian specialist partners and validated for local conditions.

The range covers canopies, roller covers, roof platforms, towbars, electric brake kits, recovery points, and interior protection products. It is available now through authorised Foton retailers, with some items available for pre-order.

Three Australian partners underpin the range. Ironman 4×4 supplies canopies, roller covers, and roof platforms. TriMotive handles towing and recovery hardware, including towbars, electric brake controller kits, and recovery point kits. MTL covers interior protection, including carpet and rubber floor mat sets and tray liners.

Each product has been developed through a local validation programme conducted in collaboration with the Foton factory, with the aim of ensuring suitability for Australian roads and conditions.

General Manager of Foton Australia Glen Cooper said the accessories launch builds on the Tunland’s market entry earlier this year.

“The launch of Tunland was only the first step in our Australian journey,” Cooper said. “A locally developed accessories range, created with the best partners who are experts in local conditions, is about giving owners capability they can trust and helping them get the most out of their vehicle. This range reflects our commitment to keep offering Tunland owners more, well beyond the point of sale and for the long haul.”

Matt Frost, chief operating officer of Ironman 4×4, said the partnership aligns two brands focused on practical capability for Australian customers.

“Ironman 4×4 has a heritage spanning almost 70 years, and its expertise in designing innovative, functional, and durable 4×4 accessories is unmatched,” Frost said. “Foton is bringing 4×4 vehicles to Australia that offer capability, strength, and value. We’re thrilled to partner with Foton Australia to offer Tunland owners the tools to enhance capability and versatility of both the V7 and V9, whether they’re heading to the job site or on an off-road adventure.”

Warranty and coverage

Genuine Foton accessories fitted by an authorised Foton retailer are covered by the brand’s seven-year unlimited kilometre new vehicle warranty, provided they are purchased at the time of sale or before the first scheduled maintenance at 20,000km or 12 months, whichever comes first. Foton notes this warranty is provided in addition to any rights available under the Australian Consumer Law.

Range, availability and pricing

Pricing across the range varies by product and model compatibility. Interior protection items start from $129.95 (recommended retail price, fitted, including GST) for a carpet mat set, with rubber deep-dish mats at $212.64 and a hybrid two-piece carpet and rubber set at $288.86. A rubber tray liner is available for pre-order at $232.42.

Cargo accessories include two all-alloy canopy options — one with solid alloy opening panels and one with glass windows — each priced at $6,845.85. An electric roll cover is available at $3,717.07, a manual roll cover at $2,814.08, and a roof platform at $2,558.05. Soft rear tonneau covers are priced at $950.62, with compatibility varying between the V7 and V9 variants depending on sports bar fitment.

Towing and recovery products include a towbar kit (seven-pin) at $1,560.89, a RedArc Tow Pro V3 electric brake controller kit at $871.33 (noted as on run-out), a replacement electric brake controller with 12-pin trailer socket available for pre-order at $1,428.61, an Anderson plug kit at $992.95 (pre-order from July), and a recovery point kit at $418.01.

All prices are recommended retail prices, include GST, and may vary between retailers. Foton advises customers to confirm current pricing with their local authorised retailer.

Foton Australia currently has 39 authorised light commercial vehicle retailers nationally, with further expansion planned. The accessories range can be ordered through any authorised retailer or via the Foton Australia website at fotonaustralia.com.au/ownership/accessories.
