carsales and Westpac finance referral pathway
Private buyers on carsales.com.au and RedBook will see indicative Westpac repayment figures on listings

carsales has partnered with Westpac on a referral pathway that puts finance in front of private buyers, with indicative repayment figures now appearing on private listings across carsales.com.au and RedBook.

Buyers will see finance provided by Westpac, including an indicative weekly repayment and comparison rate, and can click through to the bank to explore their options.

The classifieds giant says the move builds on its payments solution, which has facilitated more than $420 million in secure transactions, and the finance options already offered across dealer listings.

carsales managing director Craig Fraser says finance is a big part of the buying decision, and the new pathway brings it into the private buying journey “rather than leaving it as a separate step”.

“At carsales, everything we do comes back to helping buyers find the right car with more confidence,” he says.

“carsales and Westpac share a genuine ambition to make life easier for consumers. By combining our strengths, we can help take some of the stress out of one of life’s bigger purchase decisions and create a more seamless experience for buyers.”

Westpac chief executive of consumer Carolyn McCann says buying a car is an important life moment, and people want the process to feel simple.

“We’re pleased to work with carsales to make it easier for people to access finance earlier in the journey, helping them feel more informed and confident as they take the next step,” she says.
