Tesla Model Ys coming to Australia with new features

Geoff Dobson · 0 comments

Tesla is delivering its Model Y to Australia with a pedestrian warning system (PWS) and a boot parcel shelf.

The upgrades are on Model Ys built from late May, The Driven.io reports, adding the parcel shelf allows items to be hidden and dampens boot noise.

The parcel shelf can be folded in, unfolded or removed.

The PWS provides an audible sound to warn pedestrians of an oncoming car when the Model Y is driven below 24km/h.

Both new features follow recent price drops and a new referral program providing further discounts on Tesla EVs.
