Ram Trucks Australia says demand for its full-size pick-up truck continues, securing a record 766 retail units in May, bolstered by a record 919 wholesales to the dealer network.
In Ram’s specific segment (Pick-Up/CC > $100K), market share for the 1500 variant continues to rise and is now 64.7%, up from 62.3% over the same period last year.
In the broader 4×4 pickup category, the Ram 1500 outsold Jeep Gladiator, Nissan Navara and Volkswagen Amarok during May.
“This result is testament to our dealer network and our Melbourne manufacturing facility, who have left no stone unturned in delivering customer orders,” RAM Trucks Australia general manager Jeff Barber says.
“With the DS Runout Campaign’s 3.99% finance offer* ending this month, coupled with the soon to end ‘Temporary Full Expensing’ tax break, we’re confident that June will see another strong result as we close out the financial year.”
“In anticipation of this busy time of the year, along with high demand for our full-size pick-ups, Ram Trucks Australia has poured significant efforts into increasing supply and reducing wait times. As a result, most dealers are now primed with Ram 1500 DS and DT models in stock or in transit, and the outlook for this EOFY period and the remainder of 2023 remains strong,” he says.
