Ram Trucks Australia delivers 30,000th vehicle

Ram Trucks Australia has passed a major milestone, delivering its 30,000th vehicle locally – more than any other US brand since records were kept.

It follows the Ram 1500’s seven-year streak as the top-selling US pick-up in Australia.

The 30,000th vehicle – a Ram 1500 Limited in Delmonico Red, purchased by a customer in south-east Queensland – was delivered last month, on June 26, 2025, just short of the 10-year anniversary of Ram Trucks Australia being established.

The first vehicle from Ram Trucks Australia – a Ram 2500 HD – was delivered to a customer in Queensland on Christmas Eve in 2015.

From the beginning of Ram Trucks Australia’s operations until the end of June this year, a total of 30,123 vehicles have been reported as sold locally, according to official VFACTS data compiled by the Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries (FCAI).

This is in addition to almost 2000 Ram vehicles sold in New Zealand over the same period.

The 30,000 sales milestone eclipses any current or previous US pick-up rivals in Australia since official industry records were established in the 1990s.

The sales result was driven by strong demand for both the new MY25 Ram 1500 powered by the twin-turbo straight-six “Hurricane” engine – introduced earlier this year – and runout models powered by the Hemi V8, which remain in stock in limited numbers.

“We would like to thank our customers who drove us to this incredible milestone of 30,000 sales in Australia,” Ram Trucks Australia general manager Jeff Barber says.

“We also must thank the 200-plus production line workers and 50-plus engineers in Melbourne who remanufacture our vehicles from left-hand-drive to right-hand-drive to factory quality and safety standards.

“From humble beginnings we achieved a level of sales success that exceeded our expectations.

“There are now 30,000 Australians who have made the switch to a Ram after previously owning a mid-size pick-up or large four-wheel-drive wagon,” he says.
