Nissan confirms dealer network and charging offer for Ariya launch
Nissan Australia has confirmed that more than 90 dealers across the country are now part of its Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) Dealer Network, ahead of the local launch of the Ariya in September.
Additional outlets are expected to be added in the coming months.
Dealers in the network are required to meet Nissan’s qualification standards, including specialised training, charging infrastructure, BEV tooling and parts support.
Ben Hamilton, Nissan Oceania’s director of sales and dealer network development, said the dealer network had prepared for the arrival of the Ariya.
“The Ariya might be an entirely new offering for Australia, but our commitment to our customers doesn’t change,” Hamilton said.
As part of the launch, Nissan is offering an upgrade to a three-phase on-board charger (valued at $3,000) at no extra cost on a limited number of Ariya Engage, Advance and Advance+ models. The top-grade Ariya Evolve already comes with a three-phase charger as standard.
Customers taking up the upgrade will also be eligible for a complimentary Autel Maxicharger 22kW AC home charger (installation not included), supplied through Nissan’s charging partner JET Charge.
Warwick Daly, Nissan Oceania’s deputy director of marketing and mobility, said the offer was designed to support early customers with both in-vehicle charging capability and home charging equipment.
With three-phase power, the Arita can be charged from 10% to 100% in 3.5 to 4.5 hours depending on battery size. Single-phase households can use the charger at 7.4kW, with charge times of 9 to 12.5 hours.
The Ariya will also be covered by Nissan’s 10-year/300,000km service-activated warranty program when serviced through authorised dealers. The MORE program also provides five years of flat price servicing and up to 10 years of roadside assistance.
In addition, all Ariya variants include an eight-year/160,000km lithium-ion battery capacity warranty.
