Long time Nissan Australia executive Ian Moreillon is retiring from the company on July 31, 2022 after 26 years of service, allowing the local distributor to reshape its senior leadership team.
As a result of Moreillon’s retirement, Michael Hill will move into the role of director of sales.
Hill is currently the aftersales director, and has worked with Nissan for 11 years, in roles across Marketing and Aftersales, including several years in Paris at Nissan AMIEO in product marketing.
Craig Clarke will move to a new role; aftersales and TCS director. Clarke has worked with Nissan for 10 years, in both Australia and Thailand, most recently as director of customer experience, dealer network development and TCS. He will continue to lead the TCS team, as well as the aftersales team in this new role.
As a result of this move, Guy Street will be promoted to director network development and customer experience. Street moves from his role as general manager national sales operations, and brings many years of experience from across Nissan as well as the broader automotive industry.
Nissan Australia says it also welcomes to the executive team Sriram Padmanabhan as director of Marketing. For the past three years, Sriram has been the VP of marketing for Nissan India and brings extensive senior automotive experience from across India and Asia Pacific regions.
Moreillon held multiple roles in sales, marketing, aftersales and network development as well as four years as general manager – global sales, based in Japan. His dedication and passion to the brand, its dealers and staff across the country will be sorely missed says Nissan Australia.
“I would like to congratulate Ian on his significant contribution to Nissan over the past 26 years, and wish him well as he enters retirement,” Nissan Australia managing director Adam Paterson says.
I’m delighted that Michael and Craig can move into new roles within the organisation bringing their extensive Nissan experience to the sales and aftersales teams.
“I’m also pleased to welcome Guy and Sriram to the executive team who both have significant leadership experience as well as fresh thinking to help guide the Nissan brand through a significant period of new product introductions,” he says.
