Mercedes-Benz has opened its first Australian inner-city Studio at 39 Martin Place in Sydney.
The public venue will host changing vehicle displays, product launches, events and collaborations involving art, design, fashion, sport, technology and culture.
Its opening programme includes the Australian public debut of the new Mercedes-Benz GLE 350 d SUV ahead of its local launch later this year.
Mercedes-Benz says the space gives customers, enthusiasts and visitors a new way to interact with the brand outside a traditional dealership.

Vehicles are displayed within an interior inspired by the materials used in Mercedes-Benz cabins, including leather, contrast stitching, brushed metal, textiles and timber.
A floor-to-ceiling LED wall allows the setting to change for different models, stories and events.
Lighting designed by Volker Haug, recipient of the 2025 Melbourne Design Week Award, also features throughout the Studio.
The space includes a Burmester audio system comprising a 232 integrated amplifier, two 218 power amplifiers and BC150 loudspeakers.

Mercedes-Benz Australia/Pacific chief executive and managing director Homero Becerra says Sydney’s international profile and design culture make it a suitable location for the concept.
“With an ever-changing selection of vehicles, stories and experiences, the Studio will offer visitors and the local community a compelling insight into the breadth of Mercedes-Benz at every visit,” Becerra says.
Sydney joins an international Studio network spanning cities including Los Angeles, Munich, Copenhagen, Delhi, Seoul, Singapore, Tokyo and Toronto.
Mercedes-Benz plans to introduce the inner-city concept across more than 10 major metropolitan centres in Europe, North America, Asia and Australia during 2026.
Each venue follows a common global framework but is adapted to reflect its city, local partnerships and customer interests.
The Sydney opening also forms part of Mercedes-Benz’s “140 Years of Innovation” celebrations, marking 140 years since Carl Benz filed the patent for the first automobile.
Mercedes-Benz Studio Sydney is open from 10am to 6pm, Monday to Friday. It is closed on weekends and New South Wales public holidays.
