McLaren Automotive has appointed Paul Harris to spearhead the marque’s operations in the Asia Pacific (APAC) and China regions.
The brand says the region is of growing importance to the company and it was fitting that Pudong, China was where McLaren chose to open its 100th retailer last year as it reached its first decade as a luxury supercar manufacturer.
Harris was formerly the Rolls-Royce Motor Cars APAC regional director and has more than 35 years of experience in the luxury automotive sector.

As the McLaren Automotive APAC and China managing director Harris assumes responsibility for the combined regional sales, marketing and operations in an increasingly important set of markets for the company.
He will manage 11 countries and regions including, China, Australia, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, and Thailand.
McLaren Automotive commercial executive director George Biggs says Harris brings deep regional knowledge to the brand as well as experience of the luxury automotive sector with valuable insights from both a retailer and customer perspective.
“It is an exciting time to be joining McLaren as we place a renewed emphasis on growing and enhancing our luxury brand around the world which means delivering outstanding products and experiences tailored for regional audiences,” Biggs says.
“This region offers many new opportunities to further expand the McLaren brand and our client base even further with our impressive products and strong story around the combination of modern hand-built luxury and high technology,” Harris says.
