Nissan has appointed Andrew Humberstone as the managing director of the Oceania region.

Humberstone joins Nissan’s Oceania operation after leading Nissan Great Britain as managing director for four years.

Nissan says he successfully drove business transformation and growth during that time and championed DEI at the UK and regional levels. He also oversaw a pivotal shift in network strategy, with significant improvements in customer service quality and representation in the UK.

Humberstone has more than 30 years of experience in the automotive industry. He previously headed Nissan’s independent markets in Europe before joining Nissan Europe in May 2019.

He will replace outgoing managing director Adam Paterson, who will be returning to Nissan Americas and will be subject to a separate announcement. Humberstone’s appointment is effective April 1, 2024. He will report to Leon Dorssers, senior vice president of marketing and sales at Nissan AMIEO.

“Andrew’s arrival at Nissan Oceania coincides with our plans for the brand’s continued transformation and growth in the region,” said Dorssers.

“Andrew brings to our Oceania team strong experience and knowledge as we focus on delivering a flawless customer experience. He takes the reins from Adam Paterson, who has successfully guided our Oceania operation since 2021 and built strong foundations for the years to come.”
