Lexus teases RZ electric

Geoff Dobson · 0 comments

The first electric Lexus RZ will be unveiled in the first half of 2022.

Inspired by the fully electric LF-Z Electrified Concept, the RZ is an SUV which some reports suggest could share a platform with the Toyota bZ4x and Subaru Solterra with the powertrain likely to be called the RZ450e and include two electric motors.

Expected to become available in 2023, including in Australia, the Lexus RZ will probably be smart and stylish and be similar to the LF-Z Electrified concept which has a 90kWh battery, 600km range (WLTP), produce 400kW of power and 700Nm torque, and get from zero to 100km/h in three seconds.

Lexus is the luxury brand for Toyota which earlier established its pathway to carbon neutrality in Europe by 2035.
