Robert Barry · 0 comments

The global online platform for the sale of classic, performance and collectible cars, Collecting Cars will launch into the New Zealand and Australian markets in 2024.

The inaugural Collecting Cars Coffee Run will take place at Rosehill Gardens Racecourse in Western Sydney on February 4, 2024 from 8am. Along with online auctions and classifieds sales, Collecting Cars says it conducts more than 60 car culture events annually.

Established in 2019, Collecting Cars says it has more than 120,000 registered members and has sold more than 14,000 lots totalling more than AUD $1 billion.

Collecting Cars offers a free-to-list and free-to-sell service. In December 2023 the company launched Private Sales, a service tailored to selling the world’s most exclusive and exceptional cars.

Australian users will enjoy the full suite of these benefits when it officially joins markets from the UK, Europe, North America, the Middle East and New Zealand.

Journalist, presenter and racing driver Chris Harris, along with the founder and chief executive of Collecting Cars, Edward Lovett will join the Coffee Run guests at Rosehill Gardens Racecourse to enjoy the display of vehicles and chat to their owners.

“It’s a thrill to officially launch the Collecting Cars online platform in Australia and bring together lovers of collector cars from across Sydney,” Lovett says.

“The collector car scene in Australia and New Zealand is unlike any other. It’s a fascinating playground. There are homegrown homologation classics built by the likes of Ford, Holden and Chrysler right through to some of the rarest and most storied exotic supercars of the last 50 years. I can’t wait to get down there,” Harris says.

“A major part of the Collecting Cars philosophy is the importance of bringing people together. Australia and New Zealand are home to so many passionate collector car fans and we can’t wait to see everyone at our first events,” Collecting Cars Asia Pacific head Lee Hallett says.
