Scott Morrison’s appointment as prime minister has been welcomed by the Australian Automotive Dealer Association (AADA).
“I would like to congratulate Scott Morrison on his appointment as prime minister and I look forward to working with his government to progress some of the key issues affecting the automotive industry,” says AADA chief executive David Blackhall.
“Key among these issues is the establishment of an Automotive Code of Conduct to bring some fairness and balance to the relationship between new car dealers and offshore vehicle manufacturers.
Significant progress on the issue has been made under former prime minister Malcolm Turnbull’s leadership, and Blackhall says it’s important to keep that momentum going.
