EVDirect.com.au and its retail partner Eagers Automotive have launched a new website bydautomotive.com.au as the BYD brand’s new virtual showroom and online hub for consumers to access information on all models and services on offer.

BYD Automotive says it is currently preparing 11 BYD Experience and Delivery Centres across the country.

On a LinkedIn post EV Direct chief executive Luke Todd said he was very proud to launch the new website in partnership with Eagers Automotive Limited as BYD’s national retailer.

“BYD is the largest launch of any new car brand in Australian automotive history and to be launching with the largest skilled, trained and most qualified EV service network from day one of deliveries is a major achievement,” Todd says.

“With more than 50 locations nationwide in place as logbook endorsed BYD Service Centre’s this sets up BYD and more broadly the Australian EV market for a very bright and clean future,” he says.

BYD Automotive says the initial 11 facilities will open in two phases. Phase one will enable these sites to function as sales and delivery centres. Phase two will see these sites evolve into high quality BYD Experience Centres.

The new website bydautomotive.com.au will contain the latest information about customer vehicles on order, as well as general information on warranty and servicing. It will also communicate all future service updates, model launches, and experience centre information.

BYD Automotive says that all existing vehicle orders placed by customers through the EVDirect.com.au portal remain in place.  It says those customers will be able to access all of their information via the portal which will be located at bydautomotive.com.au

“Your deposit is securely held and remains refundable should you decide for any reason not to proceed,” BYD Automotive says.

EVDirect.com says it will continue on as the exclusive distributor for BYD cars in Australia and will assist in facilitating the transfer of retail operations to BYD Automotive.
