Nissan Australia has confirmed that deliveries of the all-new X-Trail with an internal combustion engine (ICE) will begin in the fourth quarter of 2022.

Sitting alongside the X-Trail’s ICE offering will be the X-Trail e-Power with e-4orce.

In Australia, the X-Trail e-Power will offer the e-4orce 4×4 system as standard in both the five seat Ti and Ti-L variants. Deliveries will commence in early 2023 and pricing will be released in the coming months says Nissan Australia.

From September, 2022 consumers can visit the Nissan Australia website to initiate the pre-order process and explore the different options the X-Trail provides.

Nissan says it’s e-Power system delivers responsive performance thanks to the driven wheels being powered only by an electric motor.

The power for the electric motor is generated by a new advanced variable compression turbo-charged petrol engine which runs quietly in the background to feed the battery, which then supplies power to the electric motor via an inverter.

A new twin motor all-wheel drive system designed to work with Nissan’s electrified 4WD powertrains. It says e-4orce will deliver reassuring traction and confident acceleration in all conditions thanks to Nissan’s most advanced all-wheel control technology.

The all-new X-Trail is equipped with rear doors that open to 85 degrees. There’s an abundance of storage options around the cabin, Tri-Zone air conditioning for rear comfort as well as USB A and C chargers front and rear according to the manufacturer.

It says the new X-Trail is also equipped with a comprehensive suite of intuitive technology which simplifies life for the driver and passenger. Reassurance will come from the availability of Nissan’s driver assistance system ProPilot, which is designed to reduce fatigue and stress while driving, offering warnings and intervention in the case of unforeseen hazards.

A key safety feature is the inclusion of a heads-up display, which projects vital information into the drivers eye-line, such as navigation steps, driver assistance and current speed limit.

“We’re confident customers will love the X-Trail’s unique combination of electrified performance, confidence inspiring handling and robust practicality. As one would expect from a Nissan, it will offer unique customer appeal. We can’t wait to see it in our showrooms,” Nissan Australia managing director Adam Paterson says.
