Automotive Holdings Group (AHG) has acquired two Toyota dealerships in northern Melbourne.
They are Gary McMillan Toyota in Preston and South Morang Toyota.
AHG managing director Bronte Howson says the scale and brand diversity of the Victorian operation provided a solid platform to build on.
“We first entered the Victorian passenger market in September 2010 with the purchase of Ferntree Gully Toyota. Today we have 17 dealerships in Victoria representing 31 brand franchises,” he says.
The next major development in Victoria will be the completion of new Holden, HSV and Hyundai dealerships at a landmark site in South Melbourne on the edge of the CBD.
“In a relatively short timeframe we’ve built a solid platform to develop a business in Victoria that has the potential to rival our operations in New South Wales,” says Howson.
AHG also recently announced the acquisition of the Jason Mazda franchise in Perth, taking its retail automotive operations to a total of 148 franchises at 85 locations in Australia and New Zealand. The company represents 12 of Australia’s top 13 selling brands.
