BMW to offer six EV’s under LCT threshold

BMW Australia says it will further disrupt the local electric vehicle (EV) market next year with announcement of two additional variants priced below key tax thresholds. It will introduce the iX2 eDrive20 and iX2 xDrive30 – priced at $82,900* and $85,700* respectively.

Call to extend FBT concession to EV charging infrastructure

A share of the $20 billion being spent to connect renewable energy projects to the national grid should instead fund the extension of fringe benefits tax (FBT) exemptions to cover not only EVs but also household battery storage, solar panels, and EV charging facilities.
