Inchcape and Stellantis to end Peugeot distribution partnership in Australia
Inchcape Australia and Stellantis have agreed to end their distribution partnership for Peugeot in Australia, with the arrangement set to conclude following a transition period.
The companies have not confirmed a final date for the change, but Stellantis says the Peugeot brand will continue to operate in Australia and will announce its future local distribution plans in due course.
Inchcape says the decision follows a review of its brand portfolio.
“As part of Inchcape’s standard approach to portfolio management, we continuously review our partnerships to ensure we have the right portfolio of brands for our business, aligned with our strategic growth objectives,” the company says.
Inchcape says it is working with Stellantis to ensure a smooth handover.
“We are working collaboratively with Stellantis to ensure a smooth transition for the brand, with a focus on supporting customers, dealers and partners. We would like to thank Stellantis for their partnership over the years and we wish them every success for the future of the Peugeot brand in Australia.”
During the transition period, Inchcape will continue to support the sale of existing vehicle stock, warranty claims and servicing while Stellantis puts new distribution arrangements in place.

Customers will continue to have access to factory-trained technicians, genuine Peugeot parts, servicing, recall campaigns and diagnostic updates.
Inchcape says it remains committed to the Australian market with a portfolio covering passenger vehicles, SUVs, utes and trucks across internal combustion, hybrid and electric powertrains.
