Mitsubishi Motors Australia has issued multiple recalls across its range of ASX, Outlander and Lancer vehicles for multiple faults.
Nearly 70,800 2013-2015MY ASX and 2013-2016MY Outlanders could be at risk of developing a parking brake fault which could see vehicles roll away if parked on a slope.
The park brake/hand brake may have an improper seal on the brake caliper which could allow water to have entered the mechanism and caused corrosion, making the brake shaft potentially stick.

A secondary problem could see the automatic park brake adjuster fail to hold the vehicle in the event of brake pad wear, which could also allow the vehicle to roll away.
The MY15-MY17 ASX small SUV has a windscreen wiper ball joint susceptible to corrosion which could potentially affect 54,000 vehicles.
Another issue, affecting nearly 4000 2008-2010MY Lancers and 2007-2010MY Outlanders, could result in sunroof glass outer frame adhesive becoming weak and detaching the glass while driving, possibly injuring occupants.
All affected owners should contact their nearest Mitsubishi dealer to arrange rectification work on these faults, while Mitsubishi Australia contacts all known owners in the meantime.

Mitsubishi Australia says, “We aren’t aware of any reported issue related to these recalls in Australia.”
