Gold Coast Ferrari is set to open in mid-2018.
As reported by AutoTalk in November, Ferrari Australasia’s dealer footprint will expand this year from six to nine, including in New Zealand.
Ferraris are sold more frequently in the Gold Coast, Southport area than anywhere else, with Sanctuary Cove the most popular postcode for ownership, CarAdvice reports.
Gold Coast Ferrari opens in June-July this year which will compliment dealerships in Sydney’s North Shore, operated by McCarrolls Automotive, and Melbourne’s Zagame-owned site.
Queensland is the brand’s strongest new car market, while pre-owned sales have tripled since 2013.

With an extended warranty program due to cover owners for up to 20 years, and the brand’s new financial services business designed to better facilitate pre-owned customers, the brand is on track to perform in 2018.
The average age of a Ferrari customer is now 48 years, mirroring Ferrari Australasia chief executive Herbert Appleroth’s comments at Motorclassica in November.
“The market is extremely buoyant and I have no problem saying it’ll be another record from Ferrari this year, a measured year-on-year increase.
“Plenty of people are gaining wealth, especially in the property market, in construction; the real estate boom means a lot of people are making a lot of money and people love to celebrate that with a Ferrari.”
A new Ferrari service facility will also appear in New Zealand’s South Island soon, with other showrooms due for a makeover.
“The first part of our focus with this growth was to redevelop all our facilities and we’ve had every one of them updated or made brand new,” Appleroth said.
“We’ve found new partners in some states where we wanted to change the partnership, so every dealership around Australia and New Zealand, six of them, has been updated.”
